Hi, I’m Kate and welcome to my blog, Experiments in Living. I write about all sorts of random stuff, but I guess what moves me most is personal development and improving my lifestyle for a more healthy and sustainable future. I want to share this journey with you, and look forward to hearing your comments and ideas.
The starting point is that all our experiences are valid and are and essential part of our soul’s journey in this life. As such we must work our way through our path and learn from what is given to us. This blog is a personal journey, but I hope it can also serve as a resource to you as a reader by sharing some of life’s experiences and experiments and maybe inspiring you to make changes in your own life. I do not profess to be an enlightened being, I am just an ordinary person who thinks there is more to life than a “first you suffer, then you die” existence on the Earth Plane.
You will see that I draw on quite a variety of inspiration. My aim is to try out and make accessible as much personal development material as possible. Some stuff doesn’t work for me, but it may work for you.
As well as experiences and nuggets of wisdom that I collect on my journey, from time to time I also share some of my favourite vegan recipes that go way beyond tofu. If you’re not a vegan, not to worry, it’s not contagious
I hope you enjoy Experiments in Living and if you are interested in joining me on my journey, please consider subscribing to my RSS feed and FriendFeed.

Your are my muse; Your polenta looks fabulous! My daughters are allergic to wheat and I am running out of ideas, but somehow polenta has fallen off the radar. And my Romanian grandfather would be ashamed of me for not serving the family mamaliga.
(love your blog =;?}
ps
I wasn’t able to comment to the polenta post.
I’ve played around with comments, you should be able to comment on future posts
nice “about me” page. i feel like i know you now. i should spruce mine up to reveal more.
how is your veggie-journey going?
missy.
groovy veg.
Thanks Missy,
Vegging out is going great. I’m discovering soya products at the moment, looking at dumping the dairy. One step at a time though!

Hi, Kate,
Hello.
I suppose you got to know about my blog from my daughter, Along, who is also in U of Bangor.
Very happy that her friends include people like you.
You have listed me as being amongst your “kind bloggers”. Thank you. That’s a great way of being known.
You have a nice day.
Thanks
PS: Have you tagged me yet? Or is something supposed to happen. I am technologically challenged, so you have to help me out here.
I just like ur profile. You seem so down to earth.
Have a nice day !
Hi Kate,
Thanks for visiting my photos at flickr and using it your blog (Sunday round-up 29.06.08). You are always welcome.
I like your goal of geographical independence and financial independence. I have similar goals too. Its inspiring pursuing these goals.

Kate,
I really like the way you’ve introduced yourself to your readers.
Teaching is a very hard job and not everyone can do it!
It says a lot about those who do it well for decades!
I enjoy your site very much!
