Walkabout
Oct 7th, 2007 by QuirkyVegan
This morning I walked to my yoga class instead of driving. It wasn’t really a big deal, it just meant I had to get up a little bit earlier
. Actually, I was early for my class as it didn’t take as long to walk there as I thought it would (about half an hour)
It was great walking along the promanade early on, there was hardly anyone about and as I trundled along listening to my I-pod, it seemed like another world. The tide was out and there was a light mist over the water, I could just make out some boats on the horizon.
Coming back, the sun had come out, and the place had come to life. As well as feeling quite smug at doing a “green” thing, I also feel much more awake for topping up my serotonin levels and the exercise won’t do me any harm either. When I got back it was still only quarter to eleven, HTB was still in his PJs, thus adding to general smugness felt by myself.

It’s great to hear about more and more people thinking the way you are, if an increasing amount of people makes small adjustments in their life like using a car less, then the combination of the shifting attitudes will create a much bigger push for a Greener future!
